This event is for all infection control practitioners, health & safety and occupational health professionals in healthcare settings to learn how to manage the occupational exposure to Hepatitis B Virus.
The event’s duration is TWO (2) Hours.
This event has a mixed medium of instruction in both English and Arabic languages.
By the end of this event you will be able to:
- Understand the transmission routes and risks associated with HBV exposure in occupational settings.
- Identify the appropriate precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE) necessary to minimize the risk of HBV transmission.
- Understand the principles and protocols of post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) for HBV.
- Managing HBV exposure incidents in the workplace.
- Discuss strategies for preventing occupational exposure to HBV through vaccination programs, education, and training.
- Explain the test results for HBV and their interpretation.
