ABOUT THIS EVENT

This event is for all infection control practitioners, health & safety and occupational health professionals in healthcare settings to learn how to manage the occupational exposure to Hepatitis B Virus.

The event’s duration is TWO (2) Hours.

This event has a mixed medium of instruction in both English and Arabic languages.

By the end of this event you will be able to:

  1. Understand the transmission routes and risks associated with HBV exposure in occupational settings.
  2. Identify the appropriate precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE) necessary to minimize the risk of HBV transmission.
  3. Understand the principles and protocols of post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) for HBV.
  4. Managing HBV exposure incidents in the workplace.
  5. Discuss strategies for preventing occupational exposure to HBV through vaccination programs, education, and training.
  6. Explain the test results for HBV and their interpretation.
